David Lipscomb is the Founder and Executive Director of Rock Creek Writing. He has 20 years of experience teaching communications and writing skills. He has taught hundreds of employees from FedEx, Ketchum and other firms, and he has written and edited material for Kodak, Visa, Starbucks, and dozens of other corporations and government agencies. With a Ph.D. in English from Columbia University, he has taught writing at Columbia, Wake Forest University and Georgetown University, where he is currently Adjunct Professor of English.

 

Maggie Debelius is Workshop Director of Rock Creek Writing and the Director of the Writing Center at Georgetown University, where she also teaches in the English Department. The author of So What Are You Going to Do With That?: A Guide to Career Changing for M.A.s and Ph.D.s and the forthcoming Chicago Guide to Postacademic Careers, she studies the intersections between academic and business writing. In addition to teaching students at the University of Colorado, Princeton, and the Smithsonian, she has written for major media companies, including Time-Life, PBS and America Online. She holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia, an M.A. from Georgetown and a Ph.D. from Princeton University.
